Tom Kelly for Wyoming House District 30

My Family

My wife Gina and I have six children, three boys and three girls. Our primary focus in life has been to raise them to be capable and compassionate adults. We weren't blessed to be born in Wyoming. We moved here intentionally because of the values of faith, family, and community.

About Me

Beyond my role as a family man, I work and play hard. To pay the bills, I'm the Chair for the Department of Political and Military Science at American Military University. I'm also a martial arts instructor training for my third degree black belt. When I'm not working or training, I enjoy riding my Harley Davidson or heading to our local gun range.

Experience

Before becoming a professor of government, I taught history, government, and special education in public schools. I'm also a public speaker regularly featured on political and academic podcasts and occassional live speaking events throughout Wyoming. I've been on several local boards and commissions over the years, including the City of Sheridan Planning Commission. Currently, I'm a precinct committeeman for precinct 3-5 of House District 30.

Why I'm Running

I've seen firsthand how a state turns from red to blue. I know the language, the buzz phrases, and the tactics used to convince people to give up more of our money and liberty for the state to make decisions for us.This is why my friends and community have asked me to stand up and speak for them to preserve the great place that Wyoming is to live and thrive. For those who want higher taxes, more government programs, abortion on demand, more gun control, and legalized drugs, Colorado has mountains too.
